What about a matte black finish instead of gloss or a shadow chrome finish?

I had an M3 edition with black wheels and they were sooooo hard to keep clean..... They show up everything and you will need to take the wheels off completely every time you wash the car if you want them looking good. The main problem with them is that the rusty colored water from discs ends up on the inside of the rim and you cant get it off unless you wax your wheels and then take them off at each wash.

I purchased some matte black HRE wheels from another forum member and was going to use them as track wheels - I liked them so much after putting them on I haven't taken them off.
I'll post a pic on the weekend for you. |

Matte black looks great. My stock wheels were gloss black. But the replacement BBS are matte which makes for easy maintenance compared to gloss and substantially easier to keep than silver brake dust magnets. Looks more aggressive too.

Did this compare beween 19" abd 20" wheels a little while ago, so there are plenty of shots of black wheels here. Also if you click on garage list below my avatar there are some good shots of black BBS 19" wheels which are similar design.
Hope that helps http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=635834 |
