Skyline Run is a DC/MD/NoVA driving event for European sport and super cars. We drive on the best roads the area has to offer. These roads have the perfect mix of corners, scenery, and low traffic. The turnout to expect on any Skyline Run is around 30 cars which we've found to be the perfect number. The total event duration is about 5 hours which includes a 1-2 hour stop for lunch. Each Skyline Run has a different route. This route will not include Skyline Drive but will be full of truly amazing back roads.

The route: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en...57ce526a0&z=11

We will meet at Heritage High School in Leesburg, VA at 10am and head out at 10:30am. Lunch will be in Middleburg, VA. Below is a map showing places to eat in Middleburg. After lunch we'll start the drive on some of the most amazing roads VA has to offer, eventually ending back up in Middleburg.

Where to eat in Middleburg:

The blue arrow is where we will be entering the town.
The blue lines are parking spaces. Bring a few quarters if you want to park on the street or just risk it, I've never seen a meter maid.
The red circles outline places to eat and the red dots are where the entrance is.
A few of the menus can be found here:
http://www.thefrenchhound.com/
http://www.melloout.com/
http://www.hiddenhorsetavern.com/
http://www.redfox.com/dining.html
And menus are always posted outside of each dining establishment.

Remember to bring your cameras and car mounted cams for the video!!!

We didn't have enough footage to work with on Skyline Run III to make a good video so we're working on just making a general Skyline Run movie. We still need all the footage we can get so please bring your cameras!

Using pay pal and selecting gift will send all of the $50 for the donation, nothing taken out. Paying via motorsport reg is easier but they take out 4.5%. Not a big deal, either method works.

Are you going to limit the number of cars? I've been waiting to get my car back from the shop so I could take it on a skyline run but I'm not sure if I'll have it back in time.

Thanks.

I don't think there's any reason to limit this one so you should be fine.

So I'm just curious, why is there a price? Don't get me wrong, I'm all about being charitable, I was just wondering.

It was originally to limit the number of cars. Even though Darkstar is saying there is no limit, just the fact that there is a price will still limit the number of cars.

Anyways, RyuHayabusa and I did the backroads last saturday after lunch (the backroads of the first Skyline Drive). Aside from the occasional slow Harleys, it was a blast

He's right, it ensures that those going are serious so we don't have a group of rowdy 16 year olds coming and getting us in trouble. But more importantly, it's a great way to do some good. I'm always open to new charities to donate to so if you know of anything, let me know and we'll donate to them on the next run.

I just moved up to the area, and have been hoping for an event like this to pop up. Thanks for organizing it. You can definitely count me in.

I apologize for the ignorance on this one, but what's the email address to send the paypal to, if that's still an option? I'd rather motorsportreg not take a cut of the donation.

If you select payment type "gift" instead of "goods or services" on paypal they don't take a cut. Its always nice to see new people and cars. See you there.

Payment sent via paypal. Let me know if there are any problems.

I'll be there in my e46 M3. It'll be great to get out of the city for a little bit.

Original post updated.

I'm sure a bunch will sign up right before the 10th but not a lot of people signed up so far, which is actually kind of cool. I'd love to do one of these with a 10 car group, more intimate, get to know people better.

Drove a bit of the route again this weekend and this one is my favorite, by far!

Unhappy I wish I could join you guys here on the Mid-Atlantic side

I am in Virginia for a Military school here at Fort Lee Army base for a month. I did not drive my M3 from Texas because I felt I would be a police magnet with all the mods on my M3 . It would have been nice to meet some of you mid-atlantic members I drove my daily driver to Virginia from central Texas and there is no way I can keep up with you guys in a 2007 Honda Accord V6 Oh but I have counter measure installed on this Honda dealing with the Va. State Troopers and Police. I have the Bel Sti driver radar detector that the RDD (radar detector detector) that the state troopers and police in Va use to tell if you have a radar detector. They can't pick up or detect my Bel Sti Driver radar detector its one of the top of the line detectors with this special feature to counter the RDD, Mine is consealed in a special type sun visor I also have the blinder laser jammer along with laser shields on my license plates. The only thing I can not counter are the airplanes I really was looking for to this trip but change my mind at the last minute on my M3 I hate Virginia laws
