Why does my car produce a nasty smell when I drive fast?

Whenever I drive fast and reach high rpms my car immediately starts smelling like shit. i'm serious it smells like sewage.
does anyone have any idea why this would happen and/or what i can do to solve it?

thanks

1. Check your cowl cover under which the cabin air filter is sealed. If it is not installed properly, water from rain / washing will leak into the footwell area near the blower fan and mold will start to grow.
2. While at it, change your cabin air filter as well. It has activated carbon in it and absorbs bad smell. If it hasn't been changed, it is probably saturated.

When you increase rpm the hvac tends to blow air, the fliter can get wet causing mold. Then it will smell like crap for sure.
