Andrew why is it a big deal and why isn't it fair ? Both 8.5 psi both 650 kits , one has slight advantage up top the other down low and mid range, they balance out no ?

But if that's akash's Dyno you posted I think Scott would be a better candidate he's 625 with meth , I put down 580whp on average it wouldn't be fair at all... So I agree

Thanks everyone I am not here to start any tuners wars. We just had the right time and we ran. I wasn't able to run the ess 600 because I can't really stay out to 3am to do runs on the weekdays.
I'm confused you had a vacuum leak in your meth line but you were lighting up tires up to 4th gear , not sure what your trying to say here.

And not for nothing after all this time you actually get a vt600 in your presence to run but you decline cause you have to get up early ?
I bet if it were a hot chick wanting to stroke you your ass would've stayed up
Poor excuse bro .........

Akash, sounds like you are just full of excuses. Yaaahhhh, let's post a video of of you beating lower hp cars and then boasting about it! Or is it lower boosted cars and then boasting about it? Whatever, why don't you put up some dyno's with the boost displayed on them? Maybe it's because you have change blowers and then turn up the boost to finally make a video against cars that have less hp and less boost. Just stop making excuses and meet up M33. He'll be glad to come to you and then you both can go Dyno after with the boost captured as well, but I'm sure you'll come up with other excuses. So sad.

Wait so let me get this straight.. Every time you race a friend he must have the exact same hp as you ?

Roman stated hat 535 kit made 490 whp Akash has around 525 Whp.

Question: Did that look like 40 whp difference to you ?

And no Akash doesn't have anything different than our off the shelf kits.

Just to stir the pot a little more. The discussion of the HKS GTS5550/5555 potentially having more midrange power has been brought up in the past. Out of complete curiosity, I tried to find the two most comparable dynos of an ESS VT2625 and AA Stage2 because I really wanted to see the difference power ability.

I found several dynos of the supercharger kits that were conducted by the same team of individuals, both in Miami, FL. Since no .drf files were available, I took the liberty of downloading the images and overlaying them in Photoshop. By no means traditional nor ideal. Not scientific or controlled. But I chose a select two dynos to compare because of the closeness in PSI, the location of the dyno runs, and based upon who the individuals were who posted them. I tried to "control" as many variables I can by picking what I personally thought would be most fair.

These dynos are property of Active Autowerke and Velos Designwerks. They were publicly posted, downloaded, and edited on Photoshop. The sole purpose of this was simply to see the difference in power delivery and provide a visual representation of some of the topics that have been brought up in the past. I do not intend to offend or cause any problems, but I thought some may be interested in seeing a visual comparison.

Take these photos with a very fine grain of salt. We all know how comparing dynos can often become a moot debate considering the vast amount of variables. We all know that the true telling tale would be performance data on the track. Hopefully this can open some good civil conversation and educate many of us on the difference of methodology. I, for one, am always up for learning something new about the engineering of all the available options.

Clearly ESS and AA both make solid and reliable kits as history shows. These two kits offer incredible performance that many would be more than content with! Keep up the great work guys and keep pushing this motor to the absolute max! Friendly competition is what pushes businesses and people to continue improving.

One important varibale you overlooked in your comparison is only the AA cars are running meth, with meth I made 586whp at 7.3psi, VT625, without 558WHP.

Regardless the HKS blower loses power up top in those dyno's, in the range that is important on a high reving V8, ~6500-8400rpm is where it really counts in a staightline roll run, and they lowered the redline to 8100 rpm, IMO that makes less sense on this motor to run that blower and lower the redline, vs the Vortech with stock or a slightly increased redline. I believe they said the new blower addresses some of that, regardless the recent dyno is nowhere near 586whp.

In terms of track comparisons, at the same track, Erm's VT625 trapped 132 MPH in positive DA, AK's AA Stage 2 hit 126 in negative DA, same day the VT535 trapped 125, if Erm had ran his VT625 in negative DA, the gap would be even larger in terms of trap speeds.

Objectively with regards to the E9X supercharger kits, currently there is no comparison between AA and ESS, in terms of reliability, results, etc. The E46 I I would agree, but as far as the E9X kits, all of the other companies, have quite a lot of catching up to do.

I thought it was implied that the AA Stage 2 comes with meth since that's what it's advertised at along with 625hp.

My intention was to solely compare the standard kits from ESS and AA respectively, no added modification to the hardware of the supercharger kit itself. Your former VT2-625 with meth is obviously no longer at the rated standard "625hp". So again, my intention was to compare similar playing fields in regards to advertised hardware and power output. Two companies just go about different methods of reaching that 625hp.

I remember seeing the dynos you posted with your setup and it's incredibly impressive to say the least! All with the performance times to back it up. Once again, it just proves how beneficial meth can be!

Again, the purpose of my former post was solely to provide a rough visual representation of a comparison of two different kits. Dyno'd by the same group of guys in the same city, but unfortunately, not a fully controlled situation.

Thanks for chiming in and bringing up valid points.

I would say on paper based on Akash's dynos the new stage 2 8-8.5 psi Active kit with water meth and upgraded blower looks similar in performance to our 7 psi VT2-625 on pump gas. How that translates to the real world we will have to see but trying to use a video like this as a basis for a comparison like Andrew or anyone else is doing is simply pointless.

If the point of this thread is to figure out how the new and improved Active kit compares to our VT2-625 kit then you guys are forgetting another important stat that needs to be taken into consideration. That is unless it is going to get updated on the site when they update their new stage 2 specs.

ESS VT2-625 $13,495

AA Stage 2 $15,750

Agreed and I never thoght you had any ill intentions, but AA also offers a Stage 2 without Meth, you just have to run 93 octane, same as the VT625 and now many are running Meth with their ESS kits. Meth does add power and I think it should be taken into account. Otherwise I had no problem whatsoever with your comparsion, I always enjoy your posts and what you offer here.

ESS VT2-625 $13,495

AA Stage 2 $15,750

Your msrp$14,495.00 your sale price $13,495.00 We have sales as well

Its a fact our kit comes with way more parts due to our air to air intercooler design along with a meth kit.

I think you have two 625 kits in south beach if I recall ?

The comparison of boost psi makes no sense. A larger blower can make the same power with less boost.

Our kit includes meth and is a 625 kit.

Note- 8100 rpm is redline on all of our kits.

now I'm not 100% on this but isn't the psi taken from the manifold?

The Dyno I posted is with akash's setup.
so your level 2 cars run more boost but have just the same power........
