What would it cost to ?
What would it cost to switch my Black Novillo Leather to Bamboo Novillo leather on my E93 M3?
I saw a white on Bamboo today and i just fell in love with that color combo. Any ideas of what i'd be looking at? Is it doable and is it a complicated and hard job to do? And i guess i can ask here as well if anyone would be interested in swapping... |

Its going to be VERY expensive. I was thinking of doing it on my 335 and it added up well past 5k. Imagine the M3 part prices. Seats alone are about 2500 each, maybe more.

The bad news is that the door/rear side panels have to be replaced, there are no separate leather inserts in any color. The worst news is that it will cost around $7400 in parts alone to do the color change, not including any Extended Leather. And that cost is after a 15-20% discount at TischerBMW online site. |

I'd say it would be about 5 grand or so to do if you want to change the seats totally.
I would just get the stock seats re-upholstered. Cheers!

why don't you find someone to swap your interior with? that would be easiest/cheapest!

Thanks guys for the replies.
Wow i didn't think it would cost so much... To reupholster them might be an option but it would have to have the same look and feel as the leather i have in my car now which i doubt it would... So i guess my best bet would be to find someone here that would want to do a swap. |

hmmm! dark beige on a Sports Coupe might be nice. Do you have any pics of cars done this way?

I wouldn't call it dark. It looks like a light beige to me. You can see pics of Bamboo beige leather in the pics section of the forum. It looks great with wood trim or the carbon fiber leather trim. I don't think it looks so great on an Alpine White car.

i vote black man. I regret having my car in special interior color because it is hard to find matching aftermarket seat, etc. Like if you go for Recaro seat, most of them are black.

It's just that coming from an E92 335 with Red interior the black seems a little bland... |

Did you find out about any upholstry shops? I am interested in doing something similar along those lines... check this aston martin vanquish....it has blk interior with red inserts..have you considered this, because I seriously think this will look unique and achieve our purpose of having a not so-bland interior.... http://caliberauto.ca/05VANQUISH.html |
