How much will the next generation M3 cost?

Guys,

Seeing that it is likely BMW would produce the M1, do you think that the next generation M3 will be priced significantly higher than it is now?

Also, would you guys agree that it will be years if any before a V8 will be used in an M3?

Seeing how the economy is on "save the earth" crisis. I don't think we will be seeing another V8 M3 for quite some time maybe even never again.

It is way too early to tell if BMW will jack up the price. IMO they might because they can't price the M1 too cheap yet they can't price the M3 too high because then that would be more of an incentive for people to buy the M5.

10-20% higher MSRP. In any case the E8x M1 will be gone by the time the F3x comes out. The F2x M1 will probably be priced somewhat less than the current M3.

And yes, there will be no V8 M3 for the forseeable future.

If the F10 MSRP is any indication of how things will be from now on, the F30 M3 will have either the same MSRP or even less than the last E9x M3 MSRP. The major price increases will be in the options/packages, IMO.
