DIY: Oil Cap Leak Fix
Hello everyone...Just wanted to show you all what I did to fix my leaking oil cap. So far it is holding up with no leaks.
Remove your oil cap. Remove rubber gasket. Clean oil cap with some brake cleaner. Purchase or locate some gasket maker. Apply a thin layer of gasket maker around cavity of oil cap and smear around with finger. Let the gasket maker cure for several hours. Put rubber gasket back in oil cap and put back on engine. Should be nice and tight. Hopefully this helps some of you out and it isn't too dumb of an idea.

Update: This did not prove the test of time. Started leaking again. So I gave in and purchased the new oil cap model.
Still leaking even with new oil cap. I just wipe it off every time I lift my hood.
