This may be annoying by now ... exhaust advise?
Hey all,
Considering an M3, but as a lease. I would thus be forced to go only with bolt-on exhaust, so that I can remove it at lease end. Can anyone suggest a good bolt-on that is a little louder than stock (i.e. not loud enough to get me kicked off a racetrack), a little higher pitched than stock, and having minimal drone. Any options welcome. I have heard of the RD Sport and Vorsteiner as being good options (supposedly VRS has no drone??). I'm also not sure about the Eisenmann Sport - not sure if it's a bolt-on. Yes sir. Bastuck includes connecting pipes when you purchase their exhaust. Eisenmann connecting pipes are optional with the Eisenmann Exhaust but are available.

The Bastuck and Dinan exhausts will come with their own connecting pipes, and the Eisenmann & Remus exhausts can be fitted with the optional Eisenmann connecting pipes to make them a simple bolt up install.

Ouuu I like the Bastuck! Seems like what I'm looking for - would be perfect for when the original would get a little boring. Does anyone know of a dealer that would ship to Canada? Does WSTO do so?

I'm here, I'm here! How did I know you'd call me out when I started reading this thread. Haha! OP, Borat (uh, I mean Bob) is right, you really have to research the entire site and do a little process of elimination. There are something like 60 or so exhaust systems for the E9x M3 (maybe even more) and you have to chose one that fits your needs and wants. If ultimate weight savings is your goal, look to Ti system. There are a number of them ranging from all sorts of price points. Though, even the stainless steel systems save quite a bit of weight over the stock system. If loud is what you want, there is are a lot of systems out there to suit your wants. When I chose my exhaust, I read through almost 8 pages worth of individual threads and I PM'd everyone who had the exhausts I was interested in to see what they thought about it. I asked them certain questions that I was curious about and got all my answers. Starting a thread about which exhaust is the best will no doubt lead to people recommending you what they've bought themselves. I can't stress it enough, do your research, listen to sound clips and try to hear them at local meets. In the end, if you do your due diligence, I'm sure you'll make the right choice and be happy. As for my recommendation, I'd say go for the Meisterschaft GT Racing! (that one's for you, Bob!)

OP Burt is making great success with his advice above.. I on the other hand installed a Remus, then went Fab speed X Pipe and then took all that off and went Akrapovic. And to think I didn't want to spend the money on the Akra in the first place, but shit I went all they way from Kazakhstan to the US and back by donkey!! Research would have saved me alot, with money to to spare for some vagine of local prostitute |

Looks like Bastuck, Eisenman, Remus are only for the E92/3. As for Dinan, would be an easy choice but for the black finish, which ain't my cup of tea. What would you suggest for the Sedan owners of the world (bolt on only).
Thanks.

I'm sure you are right, but on websites i checked they only list E92 as an option, where other exhausts have E92-E93 and E90 listed. I assume a good shop can weld these on, but I'd prefer bolt on so I can have the option of putting the stock back without a hassle if I need to.
