Are there any performance options on the M3? Or just convenience ones and toys? I don't care about the toys...just want the car.....hmmmm

I'd wait for the Golf R-20 given the choices you listed. M3 ain't bad either!

YOU don't have to store the M3 for winter. Most do it doesn't mean you have to do it too. I drive it all winter, lots of fun
Just have to do a detailing session when come spring

I say go for the g37, i don't see too many of them on the road, however i do see a ton of g35's. The interior and exterior look really good, has a ton of features, best bang for the buck however it will cost more than the sti.

My windows were down and I yelled at her telling her I wasn't letting her cut in but she proceeded to laugh with her Lesbaru companion. Suffice to say I didn't let her in, she smoked her car up against the side of the van (fender/mirror/door damage), and she got charged with an illegal lane change as I pointed at her and laughed. Good times.

Back to the topic at hand, get a used E90 M3. End of story.

Subaru has been the most prominent company to embrace the gay market. As long ago as 2000, the automaker created advertising campaigns around Martina Navratilova, the gay tennis star, and also used a sales slogan that was a subtle gay-rights message: “It’s not a choice. It’s the way we’re built.” Little wonder that many lesbians refer to their Outbacks as “Lesbarus.”

Say get it. The short-shifter gearbox that comes from the factory is a marvel & the 4 wheel drive system is going to be good for Toronto. cheers

I've never warmed up to the look of the new STI; I like the prev gen sedan shaped STI better.

I think the USA will be better! Canadian prices are still way to high. eBay has a bunch under 50k usd.

Anything to avoid or lookout for in the 2008 sedan cars? Any must have options?

Deepak,

If you going for the M3, its been discussed a bunch of time, avoid US M3s.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...96&postcount=2

However, whats your budget? I mean are you thinking of leasing or financing? or cash?

Depending on that, you can look at a new, preowned M3 etc.

A 4 door C63 AMG is also not a bad toy to have, '09s (C63) can be had for high 50s - low 60s

You think so? The S4 at the autoshow was the base base model too. The premium with Nav looks a lot different, primarily because of the controls around the centre console, and full leather seating.

Why would you suggest a C63 when 1 of the things that Dee wants is a proper 3 pedal car.A E90 M3 is what he should go for in order to be satisfied.Or even a 335 if that is more within the the budget.

My apologies, must have been an oversight

The C63 is a nice car nonetheless, but since hes coming from a ISF, i figure why not

(My first Subaru) But I am just not 100% sure if it is the best car for me. Also, after reading some of the long term test, the STI seems to take a bit of a beating.

I am basically looking for a fun car, that has a MANUAL tranny. Can fit my young kids (6 and 4) in the back seat once in a while. 4 wheel drive is nice, but not a must. I could do rear wheel drive. Might do a 1 or 2 track days a year. Just wondering if there are any other cars to consider before pulling the trigger on a STI.

Other options?
M3/335xi? (A bit overpriced compared to the value)
EVO X (Not really crazy about the looks)
Golf GTI (Front wheel, and not that strong)
G37x (Too many of them)
Audi A4/S4/S5 (A bit pricey and questionable reliabilty)
Merc and Lexus (No manual)

What other cars are out there that are/can be as fun as a STI? I am so in love with the White/Gold combo. But just don't know if the car is worth the $45k Canadian price tag? In that price range, (plus or minus $5k), what else is available?

Altough I can afford the above listed cars, the pricey ones might not be the best use of my money.

I sold my Lexus ISF last year, and although I loved the power and luxury, I missed the manual tranny.

Any advice?
PM me if youre still interested in the STI

Thanks to everyone on the feedback, it is greatly appreciated!! I have decided to wait until I find the right deal on an E92 M3 manual. Let the hunting begin!

That USA version is still very tempting.....(I know I know)
