What do these nuts do
I was replacing my air filter and got curious about what the two screws on top of the engine do. As I was removing the second nut the screw broke off and is stuck inside the nut. What do they do. [IMG][/IMG]

I also lost my right nut. Tried getting it replaced at my service center but they didn't bother so I assume its not important?

pretty sure those are just for aesthetics (or they serve no physical or mechanical purpose). Why would you remove a bolt just to find out what it is for? That mistake probably cost you the price of a new plenum because I am not sure you can buy that piece separate.
By the way your engine bay is very dirty |

I was told that there are rods inside the airbox that connect top and bottom in order to keep the airbox from resonating too much.
