Fox Red Shift Boot?

Not sure how it would look, but, wondering if anyone knows where you can get a fox red dct shift and possibly e-brake cover. I contacted a forum preferred vendor as my original thought was wanting the tri-color stitching, then I thought about the fox red shift cover might be nice.

The one vendor responded that they dont have the leather to do this and in order to go forward he would need 3-4 more people to also want this so it was sensible to buy a hide.

I think it would look awesome. I want to do the same thing myself with Bamboo Beige, but can't find any BB dye. The problem with going with the vendors is that they'll probably charge $400. I'm just going to wait until I buy a spare interior and dye everything Cinnamon.

You should do it though with FR, I think that'd look very special.

Search the DIY section . I've definitely seen guides where they show/describe how to take off the dct shifter.

I dont see that color specifically, but, I came across the website FurnitureClinic that has dyes available. They have the FR that I am thinking. I have never messed with leather dye so not sure where to begin. But thanks for the response, I think it would look great the more I think about it.

Figure it can't be that bad. At least we aren't dyeing the entire interior. Just gotta find spare piece and see what happens. I think at the end of the day, you'll still come under the price the vendors can offer for.

Any updates? Just got off the phone with Swissvax (they were very helpful btw) and my dye would have to be custom made. $189.

I am waiting on a boot to arrive so I can test this all out. I already received my dye from furnitureclinic. Seems like a nice kit, should be fun to do. When i have all the parts I will post back my results and pics. My kit was like $65 from them.

How much dye was included? Just enough to do the pair of boots?

We'll see what I end up doing. With spare boot and BB dye kit, I'm looking at close to $300. I might just end up DYI'ing contrast stitching instead for under $100.

Def let us know how it goes, and how good the color match is.

Dont have an exact amount...but from their site, the small kit is enough to do a project up to the size of a car seat. The boots shipped today, so I am getting closer. I am not certain if I will do the ebrake or not, I will start with the shift boot and go from there.

Try contacting LeatherZ. They do custom shift boots and e-brake boots for BMWs.

True. But only certain colors are available. That is where I ordered my boots from but I still have to dye them the proper color I want.
