^ The interesting thing here is the UK speculated price. With a generous exchange rate, the UK price for the GT3 is pretty close to the Canadian price. Add another 20,000GBP and you end up with something around $185,000 Canadian. At that price, i'm sticking with the GT3, given the no manual option. Maybe by then the baby McLaren will be announced....

^^ I am with you on the GT3 RS, going to stick with the 'regular' GT3 at this point. I think I heard the baby mac is more like 2016 or so. If I am going to break the $200K mark on a car, I will just go for the MP4-12C.

991 GT3 will probably be as fast as the current 4.0 RS, unfortunately it will be heavy(er), which is part of the magic in driving the current version.
In a year or so a 3 year old McLaren will be worth in the neighbourhood of 150k. HP has recently been increased to 616 and the car is now a land missile,
Something to consider. Other option for next year is the F Scud. With a good setup it's a great track weapon, and the sound can't be beat. Last option is
997 GT2, very few available and prices holding firm and or climbing a little.

^ Thought about the F Scud too, but it's getting on in years, and servicing it scares me. That being said, that price point makes me also look back at the Ford GT (I just love that thing) and I'd even consider an SLS GT (I don't know why, but I just really like it even though it chews through tires in no time).

I'm optimistic about the GT3, having owned a 991S for a while now. I think Porsche will deliver a fantastic car. Maybe not as raw as the 997 or 996 versions, but a track car that thrills in different ways.

PS. Cool video!

Nice Vid Eshel! Nice bunch of cars that came out to play. The prices of Scuds have certainly come down but really dont see me going that way. I think if I bought a used exotic I would only want it to be a year or so old, but really dont think I am going to go there. At this point I think the 991 GT3 is the way to go, I think the only thing that might bump me off of it would be a 997.2 RS to get a manual. Since the deposit is already down on the GT3, I dont really see me changing that at this point. Really want to do the Euro delivery as well.

I can almost guarantee it. Now that the GT3 RS has been confirmed PDK only and the 997 Turbo S was PDK only, it's the only natural route for the GT2 RS. Plus the PDK offers a huge improvement on Turbo cars since shift times are so short you can stay on boost.

It will inevitably be PDK and will kick Ass. I believe the current car is faster than the Mclaren at the Ring.

Best value for the money. Make sure you buy it with the CF seats, worth every penny. The car is Highly modifiable and comes with all the right parts from the factory.

I'm the second one in line at a dealer in Bay Area, so I'll probably be getting mine around before the end of the year. But if I'm too busy skiing (yeah, right - likely working/baby sitting), I may push it back to the spring and do euro delivery. If that happens, would be awesome to synchronize with you, J and K . That would be epic!
