Hi there quick question about angel eyes

Hi I'm new to the forum and I've ordered my bmw e93 due to collect next month. I know very little about modifications so please dnt gun me down if this is a repost but I was just wondering I want to change the angel eyes/headlights on the car as soon as it arrives and I am looking for the bluest possible colour, I have seen loads of pics on the forum but cant get to the bottom of which each one is and would just like a simple answer. I liked the look of the 360 forged (may have been photoshoped) i dnt knw but would really appreciate an answer cheers.

There are two real good options for you. The best in terms of color change and price would be the RD ICE which we have on Jon's E92. It's an LED replacement that upgrades the color to a white/blue xenon colored output. If you want an even bluer color, you can go with an HID kit which is more expensive but will be one of the brightest setups available. We can ship to the UK so that's not a problem.

i would go with the camaross305's kit. probably the 12k HID kit.

HID are the way to go IMO. more hassel installing but better output and looks

Having gone through 2 LED kits, 1 halogen kit, and now camaross305's HID kit, I can guarantee you the HID kit is the only way to go. LEDs simply don't output enough light to be sufficient sources for a tubed system like on the E92/E93. It's the equivalent of using a candle to power your high beams. Halogens come in ugly colors, so that's a no go. HID kits allow you to choose the color you want and have the outer rings glow properly.

Agree. I have camaross305's kit. Definitely bright, but the OP should know that the outer rings will always be dimmer than the inners because of the optical design.

Here are shots of the RD kit on Jon's car both in the day and at night. LEDs will be visible at night but during they day they are dimmer than stock. The color is a pure white though.

Those "day" shots are at dusk. Show those bulbs in direct sunlight and they'll disappear like every other LED (except for LUX).

+1. The RD kits are invisible during the day.

Only HID, LUX and AiB can be seen in daylight.

8000k will give you an aqua blue color, that's what I suggest.

I just installed the LUX, they are pretty bright during the day.
I used to have HIDs, personally i dont like them. They are bright, way too bright. once you are more then 20 feet away. the circles don't light up clearly. it just looks like a blob of lights. It seems many users like the HIDs and I cannot understand why . its OVERKILL in the lighting deparment.

just my $.02

The lower color temps, e.g. 6000k and 8000k, produce more light than the higher temperatures, such as 12000k and 20000k. I recommend the higher temps if you don't want blobs of light.

I like both the AiB kit and the camaross Elite kit (full power H8's for any color you choose) Both have there +'s and -'s but both produce the best looking angel eyes out there.
