damn, i always thought all those sites were BS. I havent used any type of online dating since myspace like 6 years ago or so. I would just search for local girls, send them a message and before long, they would wanna hang out and fuck. I scored like 6-7 pretty decent girls all either 7s or 8s.

Things are headed the way of online dating, the times they are a changing. The stigma attached to those sites are long gone, and if you're single and not at least checking them out you're really missing the boat.

This is particularly true if you're older and not in school anymore. Sure, there are loads of hot single women around in college, not so much when you're in your 30's and working full time. Bars are a joke, your friends are only going to have a few women to set you up with, and I have a (highly recommended) policy of not dating women I work with that has served my career well.

Match, POF, etc you can find some decent women (and some nutters). Be careful and use common sense - you'll be fine and get some good dates.

But avoid the hook-up sites unless you like things like hookers, STDs, and getting jacked by 300 lb biker boyfriends.

Sites for normal, serious dating, have less of a stigma than sites created specifically for extramarital affairs.

If you know what you are doing you can weed out the nut cases using online services. For some reason meeting people in person they do a good job of keeping you from knowing they are nut cases until you get to serious with them. However, within a few emails and a couple of online chats they can not help from revealing they are nut jobs and you probably want to stay way from them.

Think about how many people here say they met this girls at some bar or someone introduces them and later they turn into a nut job.

After I got divorced, married 21 years and seriously lacking game after that span, I tried Match etc.. Met some really fun girls and a few nut jobs, one in particular comes to mind, she was a freak. Not very good looking but a great store bought body though, just wanted it day and night, after a few times she mentioned she uses AFF quite often and I bailed right after that before anything fell off me. Works about 40% of the time. Ideal situation, no? How is that any different from getting on a site full of people who are looking for the same thing?

I agree that stepping out on your marriage is a shitty thing to do, but it's so widespread these days that before long it will just be the norm.

That's how I was..... was being the key word.

Unless I meet a woman who can 'voe me' and satisfies me completely emotionally and physically, I don't expect myself to be 100% faithful throughout the whole relationship.

But to me, emotional cheating is worse than purely physical cheating.

Guess I got that from living in Japan and being around Japanese people (or at least, the ones I knew)
I remember doing my thesis paper (on the Japanese sex industry) and noticed that women got more insecure and wanted a divorce if their husband went to a Kabakura (hostess bar, where men go and pay $$ to sit and talk to women and drink with them... usually getting attached to one etc) over a Soapland (or similar place, basically a whore house, but nicer)

I never believed it was so widespread until I not only saw it, but also experienced it a couple of times myself.
