BMW performance side splitter blades

Part number 51192298286* BMW performance side splitter blades for the F22 M235i.

First of all... why didn't BMW make carbon fiber side skirts for the E9X!?!?

Anyway, I am wondering if these can be modified to fit an e92? I can't find a pic of the actual side skirt and i'm not sure of the length compared to the e92 chassis.

Longshot here but has anyone tried? At $120 per side they are still cheaper than the ebay cf side spliters ~$400

I might just get the ebay "happybuyitnow" CF side skirts

Thoughts?

Why not just buy a sideskirt of your liking and wrap it with CF? Or are you looking for the actual weight savings of the real stuff?

Sadly, "OEM" and "saving money" are two things that generally don't go together. Good luck with the search though.

They don't appear to be carbon fiber. The fact that they were only $120 and an OEM part was a big red flag as far as material. Just look at the OEM carbon front "winglets" for the E9x -- they were hundreds of dollars each. No way will a big side skirt cost less.

ECS' page shows them as being unpainted black plastic:
