I had them on my e46m after the headers quarter way into the section 1...before the resonators and secondaries. That spot made it sound great but im pretty sure i lost power off of it.

yeah, I was thinking right before the x-pipe and while some tq may be lost.. hp would go up? the stock xpipe is pretty damn restrictive I heard?

If not that.. then right by the mufflers..
