coilovers vs springs

Just got a 11 m3 and i wanna lower it i know people obviously say coilovers but for the m3 is it different? & do you guys think it is bad 2 get these used??? Thank you.

had rd sport springs, made my car handle as bad as an AMG, switched to kwv3's handles better than stock
