Im pretty sure the extra 300hp should have made up for any loss of traction at launch. Something is wrong with the timing.

They are not very stable up top. The aerodynamics and the short wheel base make them a frisky and difficult car to drive flat out. That being said, they are a blast to drive under 150 mph and need your TOTAL attention above that speed.

This website sucks for times. Check this out, supercharged z06 running 12.39 second 1/4 mile, when stock routinely run 11s. Koenigsegg CCX 12.4 second 1/4 mile...
Also, look at the track they're running on and listen to the obscene amount of tire squeal at the start of the race. This is by no means comparable to a VHT prepped 1/4 mile strip where those 10.x Z06 passes were run. And many places in Europe add the reaction time to the ET. In the US, reaction time is independent of ET. |

Actually looking at it again, the corvette had a higher speed at the 1/4 and mile. Something is definitely off on these runs. |

I think it was 1km..not a 1/4 mile. The website has it wrong.

First, that was no drag racing track! It looks like some LONG straight aways from a track in Germany or Europe. Secondly, those cars were racing a standing Kilometer. Notice those blue signs on the edge of the straights: 200(m), 400(m) 1/4 mile) 800(m). Just look at those signs at: 38 secs in the video. Thirdly, there aren't any real drag racing tracks over here in Germany. And on the few that do drag race... they are normal road racing tracks with one day a year set aside to drag. So the traction is really not there for a take off at a dig. Dackel PS: I think this track is from Russia. It looks very familiar to me. I've seen it before on YouTube. |

NA v10 vs supercharged? not the same thing at all. id take the v10 anyday of the week and would never look back.obviously a supercharged car will eventually be faster, it all comes down to the amount of power you want vs na which embodies real engineering.

C&D online had the M3 (stock) running a 12.9 at 111mph 1/4 mile back in the day... Dropping the hammer from a standstill, we blasted to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, 0.4 second quicker than the previous car, with the quarter-mile dispatched in 12.9 seconds at 111 mph, an even larger, 0.7-second gain. The surface wasn’t ideal, however, and we expect even better numbers once we get one to our usual test track. Even so, that’s already enough to outrun the $69,785 Audi RS 4. |

this event was in moscow and was a huge drag day, the Moscow Unlimited 500+. A lot of the times were slower than expected.

That seemed much farther than a 1/4 mile, more half a mile. Those cars were really pulling toward the end, so I don't believe it's a quarter.

I've watched a few of the videos posted from this event between different cars, and everyone, no matter what car, just seems to suck at driving. It's not actually a 1/4 mile drag race, they just show the times for the 1/4 mile. It's meant for a full mile.
But I agree: How in the hell does a 720 hp M3 (or any car for that matter) not break 13s in the 1/4?! Did anyone else goo their pants after hearing the whistle from the M3? The V10 also sounds delicious!
