Been a while since I went through these files but I believe if you backup via itunes that you can then search through those files in your documents and thus discover what gets saved by apps? I used it back on my 3gs to backup and read saved text messages on my pc.
You need to enable show hidden folders in map options for it though. |

Less than 5% of consumers care about accessing the file system on their cell phone.

You shouldn't have to be root to access your own user's filesystem. I will still laugh at Apple, because you have to modify for root access just to accomplish simple tasks that Android provides natively.

If you have an iPhone 5, I don't think there's a jailbreak released just yet. The guys who run the whole jail breaking scene are waiting until iOS 7 and the iPhone 5S release to start working on a jailbreak. If you have a 4S, 4, etc.. You should be able to jailbreak no problem.. Just do a search on google and there will be guides on how to do it. It's extremely simple like point and click haha. I think the program is called evasi0n or something. One tip.. Don't fall for the stupid links online that are just trying to get you to download a virus

I have one text conversation with a certain person since Oct 2012 and its hundreds of messages a day every day since then, plus countless videos and close to 1,000 pictures in that text message. I bet thats taking up the 10 GB of "Other" |

That's where I figured. I found a site that had a ton of other beta downloads and stuff so ill try to download it from there. Doing the shift + upgrade method will bypass the UUID registration page right?

Yep, that sounds like the issue then. Jailbreaking isn't going to help - it'll just perhaps give you a back-door method to deleted your iMessage conversation, rather than deleting it through Apple's GUI. Same end result - more storage space, but no saved conversation. (Unless the jailbreak would allow you to delete just the pictures and videos from the conversation, and keep all the text? That'll certainly free up some space if there's a lot of photos and videos. I don't know enough about the jailbreaks out there to say if this is possible though.)
