was dead set to be a pilot right up till high school. Now I'm in computers - go figure...

What's an average amount one could expect to spend on a private pilot's license?

Well, it all depends what aircraft you fly and how long you take... but I would say anywhere between 12Gs to 20Gs...

Nothing special, just basic private pilot's license, single engine VFR ratings.
I was ballparkin' that it was around 12k, cool.
