The quicker more agile 135i was just tested by Motor Trend.

Reno-Fernley Raceway, lap distance 2.74 miles.

Motor Trend lap times:

135i - 163.93 sec

M3 sedan - 154.2 sec

Diff. of 9.73 seconds, I believe it would be a bigger gap with a stock 335i.



So to all the 335i fanboys thinking adding $10,000 worth of aftermarket parts to a 335i will make a car as fast as M3.

Think again.


The performance gap in lap times, is HUGE.



I like to see how much cash it would take to make up 10 plus seconds.

for a 335i I think its more like $18k - then you have a modded car with no warranty. instead of a M-car the way the BMW gods intended it.
