Son Tran (THE MAN when it comes to wheel repair as almost everyone on this forum will acknowledge) will do this repair for a fraction of the price.

Reach out to him. I don't have his number handy but it shouldn't be hard to dig up on these forums.

If they are going to refinish (ie repaint as well) then the wheel needs to come off. However, there are some who can refinish minor rash like that without removing and refinishing, etc. I am having a hard time finding someone in my area who is competent and not a rip off.

If you are in SoCal then Son Tran for sure. $200.00 is highway robbery!

For $200, you can have the wheel PC. Like others said, Wheel repair shouldn't cost you more than $100.

For that little amount of rash, I would touch it up myself. It'll look perfect from a metre away. I've not had much success with shops repainting an entire rim and having it look right. Finish durability is also an issue. Too bad the rim fell. I've had that happen too.

My daily needs a touch up and all the shops around Seattle area are asking around $250.00.

I think they quote you based on what you are driving usually not the actual cost to repair the rim.....

All 4 of my ZCP wheels had the worst curb rash and Son Tran fixed them without removing wheels or tires, the rims looked brand new. Call him 714-742-6855

^ Al's Hubcaps in Mineola. Al is a little eccentric but he get the job done for a great price and its done right. His turnaround is usually very quick. Had a few wheels done and I always left very happy. I sent a few friends his way, all similar experiences.

And yes $200 is robbery for that fix. Please put this place on blast.

Edit: Oh yeah there is a guy on E46Fanatics doing wheels in the regional forum, check that out. I remember his pricing was very competitive.
