Don't mind the OP. Obviously the small town produces small, biased minded ignorant individuals with little outlook and insight to provide to the rest of society.

HAHAHAHA! Can I nominate this for most pathetic post of the month?

If you think your car comes with class, or that buying a car will get you class, then class is something you are very far from my friend.

Not surprised to see a comment like this from someone from SF.

Dickz seems to think that he is entitled to some kind of worship because he owns a BMW.

OP is ignorant. Give him some slack! If he's too stubborn to learn new facts then so be it. If he thinks BMW is godly and nothing on the street can touch it while Porsche drivers are laughing at him, spitting in their food, then so be it.

What's funny is I've owned both an STI and my 335XI. The STI is by far the superior driver's car. On a track I would not hesitate which car to choose. Daily driving the 335 is more comfortable. When my lease is up, I'm getting the STI again.

OP's definitely ignorant. I miss my '05 STi and '04 WRX. Loved the sound.

Yes, people can buy loud fart cans and make them sound bad, but there are also MANY tasteful exhaust options out there. I loved my TurboXS catless TBE.

I like the sound of a boxer 4 over an inline 6...

This conversation reminded me of this video:

Get used to it. Comments like those come from the rest of the country as well. Maybe not from your enclosed community of ignorance.

My question was answered as to why the cars actually sound that way. Like I said, to each their own I suppose. I DID NOT KNOW the car had to sound like that due to engine design.

Keep firing away with the personal attacks, the small town attitude and such, doesnt bother me.

AiyahPK, your just proving points that most of the nation sees about SF. YOUR attitude is one that is reflecting that you are better then everyone.

A friend of mine sold his WRX, a stock non modded one when he got out of college and got a 'real' job because as he put it "Its not classy to roll up in a car like this to pick someone up for a business meeting." His words, not mine, but echoed through me.

F7stop....why the hate like that? Worship? Its a 50k auto...now if I was driving a Maserati MC12, then that might mean something.

Class is just something you are born WITH, its not a money thing or an ego thing.

Mods, you can close the thread or let them keep attacking and let me attack back, either way. As stated, my only IGNORANCE was that I didnt know it was a boxer engine, didnt know it had that sound stock.

Is it a nice community? Reasonably priced homes?

Compared to CA, any home NOT in Aspen/Vail or any other ski resort town is reasonably priced, and statistically, one of the more unaffected states in terms of housing prices from the market meltdown

Man, you don't even see it. You came on here, firing with both guns, insulting those cars and their owners, but are crying that you are being insulted in return? Had you said, "I don't know much about these cars. Why do they sound the way they do?" It would have acknowledged your lack of knowledge in an intelligent manner, and you would have had many responses explaining why things sound the way they do. And it would heve been educational, not insulting.

If you KNOW you are ignorant on something, don't go around insulting it out of ignorance, 'cause you're not going to get treated well. Let this be a lesson: ask and learn before being a dick.

You sound like a typical BMW snob that when they see WRXs and Evo's on their car with their fart exhaust on you laugh and point fingers. 90% of those cars would burn you. I know my Evo 8 would. You should appreciate cars and what their purposes are for and not live in your BMW world. It's not a Ferrari.
