No, I decided to go offset to avoid the use of spacers at the track so I went with 18x9.5"F, 18x10"R. It is an inch closer to a square setup than the ZCP model from the factory, which was equipped with 19x8"F, 19x9.5"rear. We'll see how it feels.

I feel you, had that happen and it sucked. Does the 996 have a remote release tucked up behind the left wheel well liner like the 997/987?

^I've been on rennlist trying to figure that out. I'll have to check it out later today.

So far, what I've found is that one needs another battery to hook up to the fuse box. Unfortunately, I've got several extra batteries laying around in Austin (boats, jet skis), but nothing in Houston.

I thought there was a release tucked away under or next to the back seat. I can't remember though, that sucks. ...EDIT*** I meant front seat in the door jam***

Ok this may sound dumb but if its a track car and it has a tow hook can you get it going and drop the clutch and get it started?

I guess I am Wrong. But

"BTW - thanks for all the recommendations on the wire. It was actually impossible to get through the wheel well area due to it being taped in place...but when i came through the front just underneath the headlight, i snagged it :-)" "It is under the passenger wide wheel well (I believe it is called the Bowden cable)...PIA to get to."
