I've been watching previous Gonzaga fights and ju-jitsu tournaments...that guy is no joke...even Randy Coture predicted him to win. Cro Cop is an exciting fighter but a LOT of holes in his game. I can't wait until Ultimate fighter 6 when Serra gets to fight the talented"dick", Matt Hughes.

MMA.. boy it's like baseball.. anything can happen. thats why i love it. but damn Gonzala... props.. out to that guy. he made it happen and shut everyone out..

Lets see some more Pride dudes into the UFC, or vice versa.. its gonna be a win win situation for all the fans..

Minitoro is gonna be freaking awesome in the UFC! Hvy Wgt.. if gonna be sweeet

I hope they get a rematch for Cro Cop...that was no doubt the most embarrassing loss of his career, to get beat like that, esp. with a high kick to the face, your deadliest weapon...

May 25, watch Lidell vs Rampage Jackson...

me and my friends are still baffled over the Cro Cop fight...we were expecting him to kick Gonzaga in the face, we had shot glasses and everything...everytime Cro Cop kicks, we had to take a shot..

we ended up taking one shot for that kick to the ribs...then he got knocked out

After the kick to the head....i thought his knee bending in that awful angle was worse, did you guys see that??? I think he was lucky that he was knocked out and that all his muscles went limp, otherwise that knee would have been (or may be) wrecked!

Didn't you guys listening to Couture at the beginning of the fight and his thoughts about the outcome? You think he knows anything? He's not even bothered by that kick, he's gona beat the crap out of Gonzaga.

"You got KNOCKED THE F&*K out!"

Dayum, I missed the fight but caught it on youtube. Who'd have thunk it?

I think his knee will be just fine, if anything it looked like a potentially dislocated ankle, but those heal pretty fast and are generally non-issues given their level of fitness.

But yeah, at the level these guys are at, you have to expect anything at any time.

I'm still in disbelief in what happened. He landed with his foot in his own ass.

Hopefully he'll have a speedy recovery:
"Mirko arrived to his hometown today, he was limping a bit. He said: I deserved that loss because of the way i was fighting. I fall down every now and then, i was twice in this situation, after Randleman and after Fedor and i got back up again, i will be back this time too, that is a part of my career. I have 4 more fights to come and i will do them all." http://www.crocop.tk/

^^ ah man i don't wanna see that pic...

Cro Cop is one of my favorite fighter, humble and doesn't say much, just goes out there and kick ass...can't win all the time...who ever he fights next will get punished i guarantee you that..

Win or lose, Cro Cop is one of my favorite fighters too. I've followed him since K-1 and Pride before he went to the UFC, and he really didn't have his usual killer instinct in that fight with Gonzaga. Maybe he was too confident since he won the Pride Open Weight Grand Prix or maybe he bought into all the UFC hyping him up. Agreed, he'll come back with a vengeance.

Looks like he miscalculated...if you watch the video, it looks like CroCop preps himself for a body kick.

Totally, just misjudged. You can watch him go to protect the ribs and... POP, lights out.

I like humble fighters like Cro Cop...doesn't disrespect people and talk a lot of trash like Tito Ortiz, Rampage Jackson, or other cocky fighters...

Honestly, prior to that day, i don't hear much about Gonzaga, but damn, that boy is vicious, it should be a good match with Couture...

I agree, i can't stand Ortiz or Jackson (god, i hope Liddell knocks the living crap out of him), but for a businessman like Dana White, you gotta have fighters like them. I did give Ortiz a little more respect with the beatdowns he gave Shamrock, but very little. I honestly felt a slightly bad for Shamrock in those fights the way he was literally "man-handled".
