Poor GT3
So I've been a member on rennlist for years and I'm a pretty avid Porsche fan.
Recently I came across an interesting thread someone posted about their GT3 that they bought from the west coast and it looks like the works been done by LTMW. Since the BMW community uses this shop a quite a lot, I wanted to bring this to peoples attention. This is by far the worst work I have seen on any high end car. It looks like the thing was put together in 2 hours and sent to MAACO for a paint job. Anyway do what you will with this information, Im not affiliated with the guy that currently owns it in any way but I am hoping he makes it right. Detail pics start on Pg2 GT3 THREAD |

Doesn't suprise me. The LTMW kit is overated and i guess the last owner didn't care because it's trend. All the young peeps are doing this, dumping thousands of $$ for something that it's not worth half. But then again is trend so people will do the most retarded choices just to get attention. I hope the guy puts that car back to it's true beautiful shape!

Not surprised at all. I felt bad for the 993 he just picked up when I saw it on instagram. And that car won awards and was featured in the Toyo booth for SEMA>

This is seriously messed up! http://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-g...l#post11979055
Looking at the paint quality, I wouldn't let the shop paint my toilet handle. Is this the car in question? Looks like it was later painted to a dark shade of blue. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1039091 |

LOL Not surprised at all...LTMW pumps out difficult builds like this in a couple weeks time - all the time. Definitely not possible unless some serious "Jerry Rigging" or "Mickey Mousing" is going on. Typical show car crap...looks great in photos or on the internet, looks like shit if looked into thoroughly in person.
I don't know why the buyer agreed to purchase the car without seeing it in person first, even though a good friend of his vouched for it. To me, that is straight stupid. With that being said, this is why I will never purchase a heavily modded car...I don't wanna deal with the previous owner's problems. I really wish and hope the best outcome for the new owner.

this was the car. What a disgrace this is. New owner obviously had the respondibility to check but where is the integrity...? |

I feel bad for the buyer, there's likely another side to the story, but sadly, I doubt we'll hear it. The work speaks for itself, no explanation can repair that shop's reputation at this point.

Wow, I'm really surprised. LTMW has done some great work for me over the years. Heck, Long even personally drove out to my house in Redondo Beach to give me a free tow to his shop almost an hour away in El Monte after a fender bender jacked up one of my ER dual oil coolers. Makes me wonder if there's some people working for him who need to be let go.
Just really surprised.

I just read through every page and I'm shocked…but not surprised. From my previous experience, I will never ever buy a car that's been modded and this is why. And for the price he was asking for it I didn't think anyone would buy it…
Is the buyer trying to just fix the car because he can't get his money back for the car? Surely it would make more sense to just get the money back and start fresh…that car's ruined in my eyes but we'll see what happens. Also, anyone that's had any work done to their car from that shop, I would run out to the car right now and check what you see is actually what you got. Glad they got exposed.

Saw this at sema last year. I'm not surprised with the paint job, looks like the blue was done for sema to match sponser color theme. But the suspension and everything. Wow just ridiculous. I'm seriously shocked lol. Loved that car too. But wow.
