Vorsteiner CSL Trunk Problem

I recently got the Vorsteiner CSL Trunk and when I was washing my car the other day I found out I can easily leave a mark on the trunk by just softly pressing down on the trunk with my nails!!! The mark will eventually disappear but it seems like it's still there just not as bad as when I first pressed it down. It's like the trunk is soft or like a sponge!!! Anyone else notice this? Is this normal? If yes why?

Probably best not post a thread like this unless you have tried resolving things with your distributor first.

I kind of think this might be normal due to the whole trunk is covered with carbon fiber, but I just want to make sure.

Sounds weird to me. Take a video and post it. Did you get full carbon or just single sided?

I mean should it matter? One sided or not, he shouldn't be able to create an impression on his trunk just by pressing on it lol. But definitely post a video. Would be great evidence.

you shouldnt be able to press into the surface and leave an impression.
This isnt normal at all but you should post a picture and add more specifics.
call up the mfg and see what they say.

This sounds like the resin did not cure properly.
If there was not enough hardener added to the resin or it was not mixed thoroughly then the resin will not fully harden.

Its not good but not a deal breaker either. If paint sticks to it then you will be fine.
