I have exact same issue. I assume you got the SP suit? I got the Black SP Boot Cut suit last year and tried 3 different sizes and finally went with the 56 i think (I'm 6 foot and about 185ish). Suit fits great except shoulders and arms are a little snug. It's feels fine in the race car and is never really uncomfortable or anything..... the biggest PIA is getting your arms out of it after you've been sweating in it for 2 hours. My friends all have sparco's and they don't have the problem. I went with the alpinestars because it is a little more form-fitting and not so bulky like other suits and for that price point it is a very good and lightweight suit.

Call OG Racing in Viriginia, or just check their website. They have a network of body scanners around the country that take your data and then fill your order with the best stock suit they can accomodate.

And no, I'm not making this up. They sent me a flyer. Though I must show up on the Flame Suit mailing list in the sky because of stupid things I say on the internet. I sure don't need one to wear in my car.

Well done, my friend.

As in, with this plan, you'll end up well done, and not medium rare.

I certainly wouldn't get a suit that I wasn't 100% comfortable in.

Thats not a mistake - I have one and highly recommend it. I echo the comment that you want something you are going to be comfortable in, but obviously you need to be mindful of your budget.

Good call - sorry should have mentioned that there may be some last years models available. When I bought mine a couple of months ago there was still some available. I am stubborn and wanted this years model

Enjoy the suit - sure you will like it

Yeah no worries. This isn't something I care if I have the newest. Still same suit just different color pattern and saves me 600 bucks over the 2013 version. Weight and comfort were my concern.

you are correct sir. the whole deal fell through due to cost of fixing the car we had planned to use. ended up canceling my order for the gp tech suit as well. still needed the hans and other gear for my e46.

Sorry to hear it didnt work out. Costs do add up when you start listing everything out. Hope you guys are able to make it work out in the future. It is lots of fun.
