Just traded my 08 AW M3 sedan for a limited edition Comp Package '11 Frozen Black M3!

I did pick it up from T&C.

I did a lot of research prior to buying and feel that most people commenting on the "difficulty to maintain the paint" are not actually owners or dont have any experience with the vehilces. There have been numerous posts and discussions on various bulletin boards and the actual owners of these vehicles have all said no big deal to care for the car.

I will see how it goes, in the meantime, I do love the car!!

Well, I was actually visiting the Welt and the E90/F30 factory last month, got to speak to some people @ the paint shop department, basically they said the car should be left in the showroom with these paints (black and grey)...
But please keep us posted on your experience

I saw a FB M3 in Calgary today in full winter trim.... Full of road salt and dirt.... I see this car once in a while, so he has live fairly close, I will have to find him in the Summer and see how the paint has held up with winter driving.

So there were only 20 of these made for US and Canada? or just US?
Are they numbered in any way on the inside?
Im positive my friend has one (Frozen Black with all the same specs) in Toronto and got it from Town and Country as well but he got it last March. And according to the link you posted it was only announced in June. Im wondering how he has the exact same car but not limited (I think). I feel like BMW just took a handful of these and decided to limited them and advertise them to the US while they were already available in Canada.

Definitely keep an eye out for it, as it will be interesting to see how it holds up. Mine is myDD and I plan on driving it next winter, unless it really isnt feasible. I am a firm believer that all cars regardless of their value or rarity are made to be driven. If in the end the paint doesnt hold up, c'est la vie!

I have looked and cant find anything regarding x of 20 made. The Frozen Black paint can be ordered as an individual colour, not sure about the interior red stitching, I have now heard of atleast 5 in Canada, which from previous limited editions (i.e., Euro E36 M3, etc) seam like a few too many in comparison to 20 in the US. Either way, I love it and it certainly is unique, I do get some pretty raised eyebrows at stop lights!
