How did I miss this thread. Give us a call at 866.963.4520 we would be more than happy to take this on. I also have two BMW techs that work with us to help out.

What about the rear quarter panels? Will you have custom body work to make them "M3 Wide"? If so, that will be nuts!
That's why I still think it would be a heck of a lot easier to make the M3 look like a wagon by adding custom body work to the back of the M rather than trying to stuff the entire drivetrain into a different vehicle.

The rear fenders of M3 E90 are the same as 3 Series E90. They are not wider as in M3 E92/93.

I saw an E46 wagon done with M3 drive train. Saw it hot lapping at the track. Cool project. If you go for it you would have a very cool and worlds first. Keep us posted.

How so? They'd be damn near even across the board. The Audi has the advantage of a better AWD system and a bit more torque and the RS4 think it weighs a little less. Don't get me wrong, it would be a great battle but I think it would be a driver's war not the M-hybrid walking the RS4.

Maybe I'm just confusing the fact that the sedan has wider fenders than the Coupes....

+1, They sure look wider than the regular 3ers to me.

Back OP, I think a wagon would be awesome. In fact I started a thread about a while back:

The doors are the same. If you look at the drawings above you can see the bulge on the fenders starts right in front of the side marker. Makes sense sonce they wouldn't have to change the door panels but you still get more room for wider wheels.
