I saw an E46 wagon done with M3 drive train. Saw it hot lapping at the track. Cool project. If you go for it you would have a very cool and worlds first. Keep us posted.

How so? They'd be damn near even across the board. The Audi has the advantage of a better AWD system and a bit more torque and the RS4 think it weighs a little less. Don't get me wrong, it would be a great battle but I think it would be a driver's war not the M-hybrid walking the RS4.

The M6 Coupé and Convertible have the same fenders as 6 Series Coupé and Convertible.
The M5 Sedan and Wagon have the same fenders as 5 Series Sedan and Wagon. The M3 Sedan has the same fenders as 3 Series Sedan. The M3 Coupé and Convertible do not have the same fenders as 3 Series Coupé and Convertible. The doors are the same. If you look at the drawings above you can see the bulge on the fenders starts right in front of the side marker. Makes sense sonce they wouldn't have to change the door panels but you still get more room for wider wheels.
