How much for used M Performance Exhaust?
I see them going for $3300 shipped on ebay.
How much would these sell for used? I'm debating to hold out for a used one or just buy new. If I buy new, I want to know how much of a resale hit to expect (I would take it off the car). I'm thinking $2500 for a used one?

Ampowerj is selling his BMW Perf for $2500 in the classifieds. There is also another one for sale. $2500 is about the best you will see for a used one esp for an E90 (don't see them as often.)

Do the OEM exhaust mod. Sounds a little bit better and will run you under $400

Given you can pick these up for $3200 - $3300 brand NEW, may not be worth it buying used, unless you find someone willing to let it go for cheap. just keep an eye on the selling section of this forum...they come up every now and again.

I few thoughts here. The OEM mod sounds quite similar at idle and somewhat similar free revving but does not have the same shriek that the M performance does while actually out on the road driving. The Akra may be a good option. I like the sound of the M performance better myself but thats subjective. Good point with it is you can add the mid pipe later and the Evo setup is a much better sound than the cans alone IMO. This is the opposite of the M performance which doesn't play well with assorted mid pipes.
To answer your question though a quick search down in the for sale section where you posted your WTB seems to show them running 2.5k and a little higher for newish cans and around 2k for the more seasoned variety. If it were me as long as the tips look good I would actually prefer them to have a little time on them as they sound better. |

Go m performance - no power gains but 18 kg lighter than stock- buy new cos there's a 2 year manufacturers warranty. Buy m performance cos it will strengthen resale of your car, there aren't many with this system on. Made with the same super metal Inconel that the Acra pipes are made of.With great ///Mpower comes great ///Response
