Everyone has red so I thought I'd go with something more unique.

BMW performance seats and aclantara/leather interior. Front strut bar and will wait until there is a reputable FI kit out there or seek Dinan out for engine mods.

No they don't, only black Alcantara and black novillo leather. Really very nice. They can't be ordered in the USA or Cananda either.

have you received them yet?
i'm wondering if my fat ass can fit into the seats... doesn't recaro make the exact seat - maybe i can test fit if they do...
also, are the plug and play vis-a-vis fitment?

cheers

Yes recaro does make very similar seats but don't know if the have the side impact air bag. And yes, these are plug and play so to speak.

Those are some BA seats, but I don't like it saying "BMW Performance" on them. Just like how you get the silver stitching on the Wheel instead of the M stitching. I guess I wouldn't mind, if I was modding up a 135i but the M3 deserves better

I saw on ebay that these seats are also heated. Is that correct?

Agreed, but I want to see how many 135 and 335 owners are going to spend several thousand dollars on seats that IMO are better than the stock M3. As far as the stitching goes, you can easily change that on the wheel to match that of the M and if you really want, you can also change the top protion of the alcantara in the seat for an ///M instead of BMW Performance. That shouldn't be a show stopper if you like the seats.

I agree with you. Those seats are just like the ones that you would get in a Ferrari or Lambo. I would actually prefer it have the Roundel instead of BMW Performance. As far as the wheel, I am sure that you could restitch it in the M colors but I wouldn't bother. Neither would be a deal breaker for me either.

I'm pretty sure your out of luck, no BMW dealer can sell these in the USA/Cananda and some of the tuners (in both Cananda and the USA) said the same, they can't import them because they are not DOT approved in either country. So, I suppose you can buy these only in Europe.

Yep, I am sure!! If you can't, you can order them from any BMW dealer in Mexico and then just take them into the USA. TJ for instance has a Bimmer dealer.

Then again, getting pulled over in them would either be a conversation starter or a trip to the impound lot so they can remove them. Jerks!!

I have to disagree with you on that. I have a friend that has a 2005 Lambo. He put in something similar to these. I was with him when we got pulled over in LA. They towed his car to the lot and wouldnt release it until the seats were removed. Then he had to have the car towed to a shop to put in his factory seats. I think it all dependz on the cop. Honestly

But I would say for the most part, most cops wouldnt know the difference. Key word being most

Well, that will do it for you! Interesting that they wouldn't say they are not DOT approved. Price is good.

I have no idea how they knew. It didnt help we were doing 100+ lol. But Im sure they went over the car a little more thoroughly for that reason.

I would say the design of the seats probably has something to do with safety, etc. Who knows with these things?? I will probably do a boat load of research before I buy them, but they are a must have. $5k+ or not
Agreed and best of luck!!
