Your car will require a combox upgrade. There is no software upgrade to get streaming audio as your current unit cannot do it.

Combox is pretty easy to install with our supplied plug and play retrofit harness. Takes under an hour with no wire splicing/cutting, etc.

I'd like a quote as well, Bluetooth Streaming is far too convenient sometimes. Plus, my aux jack is having connection problems (lots of whirring and static sounds, not sure if that can be fixed under warranty or something).

Most of the time that is caused by electrical interference on the cable. If you are using a generic cable, try using a shielded aux-in cable.

Can you shoot me a pm as well? I have a 2010 with bluetooth phone and CIC with the newer navi.
Will this update also give the newer interface, with the fancy flips and swivels when changing pages? |

They sell these cables everywhere. If you have a Best Buy, Target or Radio Shack nearby, you can pick one up easily. Just make sure it says it is shielded. There's lots of fancy looking cables with gold plating that aren't shielded.

If anyone is still interested in a Combox, you're welcome to take a look at the following product page: http://bimmerretrofit.com/store/inde...&product_id=94
If you're not sure which PNP cables you need, just send me an email with your VIN (vehicle identification number). Kate info@bimmerretrofit.com |

Definitely wired. Bluetooth A2DP doesn't have the bandwidth to support that kind of music fidelity. It's acceptable, but it won't take an audiophile to hear the difference between the two.

To me BT audio is a convenience but a waste of time in terms of quality of the music and the lack of controls.
