Except Golf isn't nearly as enjoyable as motorsports. Look at Paul Newman, he was racing professionally well into his 70s (winning in his class in the '95 24hrs of Daytona.) How many 70 year old pro golfers do you know of?

A football quarterback, hands down. Second choice would be a basketball player but that's about it. I wanna be like Peyton Manning- good at what he does and makes a ton of money.

Dumb.

In that industry you need to have connections and know people. Anyone can drive a car fast and look nice. Just throw the car keys at them at a young age, thats it.

yea hitting 40 HR's, 120 RBI's for 10 years straight is doing nothing

Ill tell you what, you stand 60 feet from a 99 mph fastball and take it in the back, and you tell me how "easy" it is

or how about 162, 3 hour games in 230 days, with about 20 days off...travel 100k miles in those 230 days, 2 hours in the gym everyday before the game, 2 hours of batting practice, hour of pre game ground balls...thats just before the 3 hour game

16 hours a day baseball, every day

Why not just break a leg in football or basketball?

Baseball is a slow sport because of slow people. Compared to everything else. Its pay is beyond imaginary.

You think Im against baseball lol. Im not. Im saying compared to everything else, you dont do anything. I love going to baseball games

lets see justin upton runs a 6.2, 60 yard dash which is equivalent to a 4.3 40

the only slow players on the field are 1st base, catcher, and most 3rd baseban

just because they make a lot of money, dont hate...they play 162 games per season, not 16...30k fans for every game, think of that money the team makes per game.

How about the hamstring pulls(they seem like nothing but hurt like a bitch, behind the scenes they are in tubs of freezing water keeping down the pain), or how about tearing your shoulder to pieces, or you elbow to pieces..line drive to the face possibly killing people, and even the occasional broken bone

the pace of the game is slow, because a hell of a lot more is going on, things your ignorance doesnt see, calling plays, calling pitches, getting the batter uncomfortable, attempting to get the runner on his toes so you can pick him off...

Everything you just labeled and said can be said about football + 100x more and even basketball, etc..

But it all comes down to either

a.) Catching the ball
b.) Hitting the ball

for baseball. The managers and players are literally standing and eating while making those calls. Cmon dude.

Dying? Im sorry but sorry for being an ass. But every play in football can dictate a persons life..

so can baseball, every pitch could be instant hospitalization and possible death(not likely but possible) , do you know how hard it is to hit a 98-99 mph fast ball from 60 feet away? A hell of a lot easier running 10 yards and catching a football, or shooting a ball in a hoop 30 feet away than hitting a baseball that spends 395 milliseconds in the air, hitting it at the right angle and right spot on the bat and hope a fielder doesnt make a great play and rob you

there is a reason Michael Jordan was terrible at baseball, and every other guy that tried it

If your ganna play with stats and pull out records. Then picture this.

And then we can get technical.

Get the best batter and pitcher. In a row, let the pitcher throw the ball 100 times out of 100. What are the chances of him getting paralyzed? And Im sorry but when the fuck has the last baseball player been paralyzed.

The NBA has more cases of players being paralyzed then baseball.

Back on topic.

Lets get the strongest running back and the strongest line backer. And lets see how long it will take for him to get paralyzed by number 50. I will be nice.

Same goes for basketball.

If my first "baseball" comment bothers you this bad. i take it back and replace it with GOLF. A lot of money for not doing anything.

I think it takes more skills to pitch and hit a baseball than to do anything in any other sports... its just not very cardiovascularly involved like most other sports.

Lets see

Line drive back to the pitcher ending his career

Coaches standing on the side that have been killed from line drives

high school pitcher who was put in a coma

dont make me do extensive research to the amount of pitchers especially who has been almost killed

its generally isnt, but throwing 100 pitches with every ounce of energy you have is a lot harder than people think

Turbona couldnt throw 30 as hard as he can with all his energy without passing out

pitchers have to run long distance, miles a day
