Ok guys I am fighting it like hell because I love the smoothness, handling and performance of my 19" 220M wheels, but found some 20 inchers today that knocked me out. Specifically, BC Forged BS02. Only pics I can find are of 20s. Anyone have pcs of this wheel on a car in 19"? And biggest question, what have you noticed different (besides all the stares and drool on your car) about the handling, steering wheel feedback, steering feel, and road ride NVH when going from 19" to 20"? NO spacers or drop cuz that changes everything! I went 17 to 18 with just a little bit more offset on a Boxster years back and the cosmetic change was really hot, but the ride was definitely changed and not for the better. Those 227 hp cars were underpowered and you could really tell the dif in WOT acceleration from the heavier 18s. Way harsher ride, too. Thanks in advance!

Pretty big drop in straight line speed, fewer tire options, but I think 20's fill out the car well.

I have had 18's, 19's, and 20's. 20's are by far the worst option. Heaviest (there are lightweight forged 20's but the same wheel is even lighter in 19"), worst tire size options (both in availability and fitment), worst tire style options (no sticky ultra high performance tires available), most likelihood for pothole and curb damage, most expensive, worst ride quality, and the worst performance. The only reason to run 20's is for appearance.... And I honestly think they look oversized on an M3. I personally like 18's the best on a slammed car and 19's on a stock or slightly lowered car. 20's are a sacrifice in every way.

I had 20s and they are perfect in every way. I don't notice much harsher ride, but the handling is 10% worse.

Agreed with everything, Personally, I wouldn't go bigger than 19"

If i was driving in a 600HP M3 i wouldn't care as much. but when stock i don't ever want to decrease performance at all. 20s would be to much for me personally. Also 18s would look to small for my taste. 19s perfect on m3

20's are a show wheel size and need to be on a slammed M3 to pull off the look.
Since you enjoy the performance of your 19's, I'd stick with that size...especially living in WI.

10-4 Fellas, you confirm my thoughts. Sticking with the 220s and getting new tires. Dropping my money into ESS exhaust, JL front splitters and a diffuser instead! Thanks for your input.
