Is there a warranty for BMW perf. Parts?

My OEM carbon fiber dash trim (passenger side) has a broken tab. The piece was not handled by anyone since its install about 10 months ago. Judging by the rattle I'm experiencing Id guess the vibration is a possible reason. Anyway are these parts warrantied or do I have to spend $500 for a whole new piece?

I found this on BMW's Accessories website (http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/29...NTERIOR-TRIM):

Quote:
WARRANTY INFORMATION
EXTENDED WARRANTY
WITHOUT EXTENDED EXPENSE.

All original BMW accessories come with a limited warranty of up to 4 years/50,000 miles*

Safety-tested and approved by
BMW engineers
BMW design and quality

*Most original BMW accessories that are installed on/in the vehicle prior to the delivery to the client will carry the full New Vehicle Limited Warranty. If the installation is made by a Dealer after the retail sale of the vehicle, the accessory will carry the remainder of the New Vehicle/SAV Limited Warranty period or the limited parts warranty for two years from the date of installation, whichever is greater. Warranty repairs do not constitute an extension of the original limited warranty period for the vehicle or any parts (including accessories) thereof. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
I'd suggest calling your local dealer or whoever did the install.

Thanks for the info I guess I'll have to look into it. I did the install but I mean it's as simple as snapping a strip into place and it was fine for 9-10 months
