lol I did it today and its not that hard. It took me about 1.5 hours and thats because I took it slow, and it was my first time. The first side took a long time but the second side I did it in about 20-30 min.

For all those who said the light output is "sooo much worse then stock"

Let me say, it is barely noticable; if at all. here are 2 pics I took a couple nights ago.
Look at the difference on the ground between my brother in laws G35 (stock 4300k) and my M3 (8000k)

BTW ignore all the data/tech junkies. They talk from text without any real world experience, I have tested so many HID kits with temps ranging from 3000 to 10000 so I know what you (and other smart ppl) are talking about. Luminosity decreases undoubtedly, however noticable? not so much.

EXACTLY....2 of my buddies have 997 TT and they did 8000k headlights and their foglights (asides from looking insane) they both say they don't notice ANY decrease in light output on the road or their visibility on dark roads...as you can see in the picture; the light output is actually better on the ground then the stock 4300k G35.

I need to chime in on this thread as this is a mod I'm definitely intersted in.

I can see that by the pics SlammedM3 provided that the ground is illuminated better with his 8000k bulbs than the stock G35, but how about the distance that the beam is projected, is that shortened?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have no knowledge in this area.

These look good. 2 questions...

1) Is the H1 base the type of bulb we have?
2) Dumb question here... what exactly is the 'angel' eye... i've read references to this a few times and not sure what you guys are talking about.

Thanks!

So how reliable are the bulbs from Xenondepot? are there better quality bulbs out there? does Phillips make 8K bulbs?
