IPE Valvetronic w/ HFC cats
So I puller the trigger on an IPE system but decided to go with the HFC option as I'm keeping my m3 NA. I love the sound when it's open but it's really quite loud. The down shifts can probably give someone a seizure if he or she has cardiac issues. It's immensely brutal and violent. Enjoy guys. It's fucking creamed my pants.

I wish someone would post a dyno with the valves closed vs open to end the debate on how much (if any) power is lost. It's holding me back from ever owning one, not that I can afford one at the moment but down the road

you aren't as free flowing with valves closed so it makes sense to lose a bit of power. when you're pushing your car you will have the valves open (or should have them open). I never push my M3 with valves closed. Just when i feel like being "tame", which to me is the reason for the valves. IMO if exhaust is too loud for you open and you going to run it closed the majority of the time you should go for a more quiet/non-valved setup.

I literally just had my full IPE F1 installed today and it is ridiculous. For those wondering I will be doing a valves closed vs. open dyno test in a couple of weeks.

^^ Good question
Is it possible to buy directly from Innotech?? I bought my IPE from a vendor and they all put markups on it. I wrote IPE but never heard anything back from them. I want to get an F1 system next and it would be nice to save some $$ by buying direct. |

You should base the price of a full evolution IPE system slightly less than the Akrapovic Evolution System. The F1 system is more than the Akrapovic Evolution. Just as an indication for you on what I paid for mine here. I might be letting go of my catted IPE x-pipe to do a primary cat delete on the stock xpipe. Still thinking about it he he...
