Dinan springs only?
Can I purchase the Dinan springs only? If I am able to get stock E36 M3 bumpstops...is there any real need to get the whole kit? Is it available separately anywhere?
The reason for the Dinans is the very minimal drop that I am looking for. I would also like to know what the reason is to shave the guide supports? Thanks G |

If you don't want to pay for the whole Dinan package, get some Eibachs. They have a minimal drop and decent spring rate.
Personally, I don't understand the penny pinching when it comes to mods. If you can't do it right, don't do it. Dinan isn't overpriced. There is a reason it's the best street suspension out there. It's called investment in engineering and development. All the parts that come in their kit work together to provide an improvement in both ride and handling. If you want a track suspension, go talk to one of the reputable, experienced racing firms. If you want a street suspension that enhances what BMW designed, there is only one place to go. |

So you're saying Dinan is a more capable engineering form than say, Eibach, who I believe makes the springs for Dinan?

I'm a Dinan suspension owner. It's great suspension system but I do believe that Dinan's are somewhat overpriced.
Same time, I know their selling points/market position: dealership hassle free mod company and def. the best aftermarket warranty in the market. I wish it was more like 700-800 bucks but as I wanted hassle free/lower drop/good ride quality suspension mod, I went with Dinan. Can't say it's worth every penny but it's def. worth it.

1. Dinan will probably never let you buy springs only.
2. Front upper guide supports are shaved to provide more suspension travel. 3. The rear upper mounts are modified as well. |

Is this recommended for any aftermarket spring set? i.e. if I get Eibachs should I do this as well?

Anybody know the best place to get and install Dinan springs in the tri-state region? All of the dealers in my area are completely incompetent and unresponsive, and will charge a 200% markup on installation costs.
After getting an EDC malfunction, I think Dinan is the way to go if you have EDC since I am pretty confident every dealer will blame EDC faults on the Eibachs. Anybody want my NIB E93 M3 eibach springs - $240 shipped? |

Never installed the eibachs, but just have a strong feeling that if I had the EDC fault with the springs already installed, the dealer would blame the springs for it.
