Challenge X-Pipe Install Question
Hi -
I am going to be installing my Challenge X-Pipe today and I was wondering if the metal gaskets are supposed to go between the header and the pipe or between the two sections of the Challenge pipe when you bolt it together? Anyone out there that has installed this and knows? TIA

If i do recall, the metal gaskets go between the Challenge pipes and reuse ur existing ones on the car between the headers and the xpipe. Good Luck !!!

Thanks. I talked with WheelSto today and they confirmed this. Finished the install and it sounds great with the Dinan exhaust.

Anyone know the part number for the header - exhaust gaskets? Mine have gotten a little beat up by the Challenge X pipe. (or my bad installation thereof?)

oh, another question... When you installed your x pipe did you reuse the tranny brace clamps from the stock ones or did you leave them off? Mine didn't include new ones and I couldn't figure out how to get the stock ones on... but I also had a few rattles in the area.
Thanks! |

When I had my challenge sport and my Arqray titanium, it made it significantly louder and more "droney" in the 1500 rpm range. Sounded deeper and more full and made the top end rip, but it was too loud for me at lower rpms.

Not really. Occasionally I hear something that could be a rattle but I am not convinced that it isn't the exhaust sound itself. Very rarely does this happen so I am not worried about it for now.
