This.

+ practicality. All e9x are practical. The 4 door is even more so. Take it to the track, drive it in the snow, take 4 passengers in comfort, take it on a trip.
+ at least in the midwest, most people don't realize how expensive these are or what M's are all about unless they are car people. I like that these are understated especially in respect to their cost.

The sound and 4 doors are the 2 things which made me sell my e46.
Nailed it.

Hard to think of a better four door that's as capable around a race course. Was just out there last weekend (with one of my daughter's baby dolls strapped into the carseat for the lulz).

A lot of people say the sound is their favorite aspect of the e9x M3. I wonder if that's just our subconscious telling us that because it's so much better sounding than the F8x M3? I happen to really like the sound too, but if the new one had an even more potent N/A V8, would I still consider the e92 to have an awesome sound? Maybe less so...

The reaction I get from women! No other car that I've owned has ever elicited this reaction and I've had lots of sports cars. One women commented as to how much she liked the sound (Corsa) as I pulled up to talk with her. Then one day a woman saw it and couldn't stop saying how much she loved the look of the car and how she wished she was my daughter so she could drive it.

Favorite thing about it, Duality.

GT car: EDC to soft, S2 DCT, cruising.

Ooh look a turn!
-Pushes M button-

Sports Car: EDC to Sport, S5 DCT, "power" on

Pure bliss.

Finally another car that I love more and more every day instead of growing bored with it. The only other car that made me feel that way was/is an s2000.

The car is so comfortable just cruising around but with the top down and M button on, I feel like I just got in a race car and about to do a lap.

Lets say BMW took the S65, made it a 4.6L with 460-480HP. they put it into the M4. I would still say the E92 has a pretty cool look. BUT there is zero doubt i would right now be driving a F80 M3 or M4.

the selling point of the E92 IMO is the engine. Also the fact they dont make them like that anymore, will add to the appeal of the E9x m3.

After the engine, my favorite is handling. With a good set of tires it takes turns confidently without much fuss. After that would be it's noticeably wide stance. It's also damn reliable.

I've had my 09 M3 for two weeks. Fav things

1.) The DCT!!!
2.) daily drive ability. This is the 1st car I ever owned that hasn't scared my wife shitless.
3.) The Configuablity.
4.) Great Aftermarket support.

It's not fast, it's not the best handing or even the best daily driver. But its so great at everything. That's the M3's greatness.
