i just came across this video as well. I really feel that it is dangerous having a cop sitting there. Even though this guy wasnt going particularly fast, its instinctive to tap the brakes out of fear when you see a cop. The guy clearly crashed because he grabbed the brakes in the corner. I truly feel that he would not have crashed had the officer not been there.

Here's a little video following a GTR down that road. The main part is between .40sec-3:00min. I pretty much never drive that road so didn't know what to expect rounding the corners. And going downhill this section is rather unsettling as I find it hard to maintain seated well.
Felt faster than what the videos shows. Don't think that vantage point captures the speed well. |

Oh and I have DCT with M-mode set to S5. I reached for the paddle a few times for a downshift and I guess I might of went to auto mode by accident. Afterwards, I noticed I was in S3, but still in M-mode. I was wondering what was going on as some of the downshifts felt laggy with a lack of rev-matching.

funny how the comment was about female drivers and asians, yet I saw ONE girl.. the rest were men acting like they all have little man syndrome and are having a cock battle with their shitty driving skills, yet they all FAIL MISERABLY...

Agreed, knowing that road if I was a local I wouldn't walk or bike it either. But nevertheless they're on there. Even at a "friendly pace" personally I think it's a bad call. How many stories have we heard of people losing control "no where near the limits"? There are better ways to have "good, safe fun" with your car. Be safe!

Encountered this on Mulholland today. He's lucky he didn't get someone killed.
1. Completely crossing over into the oncoming lane. 2. Mean mugging the camera like a wannabe thugsta. Douchebag confirmed. Last edited by FStop7; 02-14-2011 at 10:16 AM.. |

That was an Elise, but QFT. The car weighs two thousand pounds, it's practically controlled via telekinesis.
