You guys would know better than me

We ran on DOT ET Streets (street legal), they are a bit different than DRs Again, we should have run 10s on these DOT tires. Anyone with ~600hp will run 10s once they figure out the car!

Mike - agreed. Once you add a blower and DR's. Easy high 10's. I may be wrong....you just might have the record for Blower only on DR's. Drew might have been running Meth on those times???

I've owned my DCT w/ ESS for 2months and haven't had the time to get DR's. Last ride was 08 E90 M3 6mt. I was told DCT was the platform was you add the blower....and I concur

It's cool that we have quick ESS, Active and VF cars all in the area. Next season will be a lot of fun!

What size Mickey Thompsons? Last I saw was 265/40/18 was all they had for us. All others were in the 305-315 range which won't fit. Why not run nitto nt555r, 285/35/18?

265/40 is plenty of tire for this HP/TQ level MT ET Street Radials are what my domestic car buddies run with great success so I went that route.

We are going to push street legal tires to their limit first!

At the time I did not know the DCT upgrade would disable the standing burnout option, when I went FI I simply thought the extra power was overheating the DCT and it would go into safe mode, so while supercharged I was never able to heat the DR's up, and couldn't muster a good 60'. I'm able to now with an software change, but a functional LL is the way to go. Great info Mike, and again excellent job, 10's are certainly possible!

Thanks Mike, I think it could have went 131 if I had full traction down the track that night, and could have heated the drag radials up, if I just could have hit your amazing 1.7 60' , I may have hit 10's.
what 60' time did you get? think a 650kit could do a 10?

He's trapping 130 with the 625, I'm sure he can pick up a few more mph with the 650.

I see 10's not being a problem as long as you can stick the 60ft.

I cut a 1.97 60', .02 slower than Mike's, if I had cut Mike's 60' I would have hit a 10.9 that night, unfortunately I did not have the ability to heat up the DR's, but shoulda - coulda - woulda. There was a Italia 458 that hit 11.1 at 126MPH that same night, one even trapped 132MPH at MIR, and if you've seen the vids you know from a roll my VT625 pulled convincingly from a 458, multiple times.

I'm excited that more people are going out and giving this a try, and the line lock was a perfect idea, 10's are there on any of the 600 or higher kits, but it all depends on the launch / traction and the conditions as well, good stuff for sure.

they will fit... not sure if necessary to run that wide though. I'm running 315s right now but would like to run it down to 275 or 285 with a 40-series tire vs the 35-series i'm running now.

Akash - let's discuss in Feb. I'd like to do a VAC drag day at Atco, I think we could get a nice group of BMWs together for some fun

Drew - This is just the beginning just talked to the Active guys - we are expecting a competitive 2012 for sure!

Can't wait to run our boost only car on street legal tires again
