X-pipe options for E93
Since the E93 requires extra bracing, there is less space down there... Which is why Dinan's E92 x-pipe (along with a few others) doesn't fit the E93.
Anyone with an E93 M3 running an x-pipe? What brand? |

Also, I understand that the Akrapovic kit out there comes with both an H-pipe (right before the secondary cats) and then their own X-pipe in place of the BMW one.
Apparently that H connection increase torque? Wouldn't one be able to just cut/weld a piece in the middle there to make their own H-pipe connection in the same place?? |

From personal experience RKP Sport and Macht Schnell dual resonated both fit E93 without issue. I had never heard of issues with E93 and x-pipes, only with full diffuser undertrays like the Varis.

I'm currently running an RKP race, but had Macht, Akropovic, and Dinan with zero issues. I'm really confused with this, since there is a bracing that you sometimes have to remove for a muffler setup, but I've never had to remove much of anything over the necessary items for any X-pipe config (metal pan, x-pipe cross bolts, etc.). -Duke You should be fine with most anything you find, no big issues! :-) |

Do you know of any x-pipe options that include high flow cars, and will still pass CA smog? |

There are extra bracing in that area on the E93s that could interfere with different muffler setups but the X-Pipe area should be the same between all the E9x. |

Interesting, and good to hear!
Are there any x-pipe setups that increase torque, while also being able to pass smog in CA? |

No - You'll want at least a primary cat delete for any power increase.

Ok, so no high flow cats out there that will pass smog, and at least bump up the power a little bit?

You could get the AA X-pipe with the stubby adapters you weld onto your stock cats, that way you can run their high flow setup 100CPI HFCs and when it comes time to smog, swap in the stock primaries, it bolts back up with a V-band clamp. I ran this setup for a while and it sounded great with the MPE.
