- Front looks better
- Side profile has smoother, stronger lines
- Rear looks very lazy, hate those rear lights
- Top notch interior

Overall, I think it'll look a lot better in real-life. It still looks bland though and doesnt blow me away. To be honest, the mk4 was my favourite and I think it always will be. I love the Mk4 R32

Just because we are bimmer enthusiasts doesn't mean we turn a blind eye on other automotive marques and their development.

I like it. It reminds me of a cross between the Mk Iv and the new Scirocco.

My Mk IV Golf has been VERY good to me with only a couple issues since I got it 8 years ago. I still have the original clutch at 156K miles + and my front brakes lasted me 100K miles.

All in all, I will more than likely replace my Golf IV with another Golf, in about 6 or 7 years

Sure still looks like a Golf, as it should.

I like the looks of that, although it does not look as aggressive as an R32. Whats the difference between a regular golf and an MK VI?

It's the same I believe. The MK VI is to the Golf as E92 is to the 335i Coupe.

So leave! No one wants your ignorance.

This is the General Car forum.

Anyway, it's pretty nice. I saw a R32 yesterday. It looks great.

Is the dimension known? It looks to be close to the size of the new scirocco, meaning wider and slightly longer than before.

Not sure how the GTi version will look, based on these early spy shots.

Really? I love the Mk4, it has the best design. I see a lot of Scirocco in this new Golf but it looks very bulky and heavy. The rear looks very bland and those rear lights look very cheap. I think if it had a nice sleek roofline like the Scirocco it would be a winner.

What Golf you running?

And that interior really is a huge step forward.
