Macht Schnell Stage 2 intake clamps not keeping elbow clamped under throttle

I had this installed by the shop but under throttle it keeps slipping out from under the clamps and ends up looking like this:

I've loosened it, put it back underneath and tightened to no avail. Any ideas?

Loosen both ends, reposition and tighten. Note stops on plenum end.

Common problem with these. That's why I didn't buy one.

I bought one used 3 years ago. Had it on and off multiple times for projects. No issues.

Just saw mine do this the other day. Haven't check on it yet but if it becomes a regular problem might switch it out.

Managed to fix this by:

1) Making sure the rubber seal is past the visible rail as shown above. A couple of times it was not.
2) Not tightening it as much.

Seems to be holding solid. It didn't slip out once during an entire day at Willow Springs.

macht schnell

There have been two versions of this elbow, it's likely the first you have. I had the same damn problem with mine and had to call Macht Schnell and they sent me the revised elbow, since then zero issues at all.
