Yellow Halos - not your usual thread :)

Hi Guys,

My first post here after buying my 2010 E92 (Jerez black DCT)

so Hi! and I hate to be controversial in my first post..... but I actually prefer the yellow halo rings over the white ones... in my mind they are just a bit classier (especially on the black) and like a little ring of gold.... the white ones are just a bit to ricey for me!
used to have a sliver 535d E60.. and upgraded them to white LEDS and that looked hot.. but just feel that on a newer model black M3 the gold looks better..

anyway just needed to say that and each to their own!

Muchas Gracias!

Yellow halos are like yellow teeth. Nobody wants to see them.

Welcome aboard!

I hope you realize that using the word "classier" is self defeating. I'll buy into the yellow halos, though. Nice choice of colors.

I wish the halos were larger in the hid kit, I don't like the smaller look, the e46m3's with angel eyes look amazing to me.

Sorry, just disagree about the halos. All the newer e9x models have white halos. I think the M3 looks dated with the yellow halos.

Shrug. Luckily we can all get what we want

whatever float your boat. If you like them, then keep them.
There is no" you must have them" in the real world.

I personally prefer the white because the yellows look dimmer to me. They actually probably aren't, but that's my perception

I agree with OP, the lux and angelibright is played out IMO. I had Lux and sold them, went with a hyper gold H8 bulb. Black and Gold looks so sweet

Ill take a headon pic when im not lazy

I have yellow angel eyes. The pictures don't do any justice but it is definitely brighter during the day and even brighter at night.
I don't have anything against white angel eyes, it's very clean but I think yellow is very mean and has that 24hour lemans race feel. It's aggressive...

yea i said IMO they are played out, i had them and nearly every e9x has them. Got tired of the look and gold matched the color of my car much better.

not for everyone or color but i think it gives my car more character than white

Been thinking about changing mine back to stock form for a few months now ... on the fence. With everyone else having the white halos, I think the yellow original halos look meaner.

When I see a BMW in my rear view mirror far away to confirm if it's an M3 or not, I get a smile on my face when I see yellow hallows, it means I may end up playing with another M3. BTW, I have been lucky so far with other M3 encounters, we always play but safe and reasonable, I had an M3 behind me on a busy hwy in Dallas, I didn't need to look in my rear view mirror even if I slam on the brakes, he always kept a perfect distance.
Mine is Jet Black and wouldn't want the white ones on it even for free.
