I don't give a rats ass about whether I have the approval of people you are talking about to be quite honest with you.

I go and ask them if they want to fight in the school yard to settle this. Oh wait, I'm not five.
Who do you hang out with?

Haven't really had nothing but praises for my ///M3. Those in my circle who happen to have faster or more expensive cars (i.e., P-Cars, GTRs, Ferrari) love my car and respect the ///M. I would think that only punks, haters and fanboys could possibly make negative comments about such an amazing car.

I actually thought the same till I bought one. I didn't understand what made a M3 a "M3". This is not a car you can "get" from a test drive or quick jaunt. You have to live with it. I sort of took a big swing when buying one figuring that every car writer on the planet (esp. top gear) couldn't be wrong and that it must be good.
IMO the M3 is not spectacular in any one or two ways. Its just above average in ALL of them. Usually cars have one or two traits that make them special, but the M3 is different. The net result is a really fantastic car to live with - practical, easy to drive fast, fun, comfortable and quality made. So tell them that... "you'd know if you owned one."

Most people think that M3 owners are Cocks, Even Jeremy Clarkson says that M3 owners are Cocks. People (the "morons") are just trying to get the image of you they already have by f'ing with your ego.
I do it to Mustang GT guys all the time for fun, because they have the image of bigger/better/badder. I am friends with the mustang people, I call their car slow they call my car slow we laugh it off, and talk cars like real enthusiasts. Just step back, re-evaluate your self worth, and don't think that everyone messing with you is a moron. |

I just smile and wait til I catch them driving like the douchebags that they inevitably are. Then I casually mention that while their car might be better than my M3, my Ford Crown Vic is obviously better than their car. Then I ask them what they would like to post for bond....The looks I get are priceless

Plus the truth is every car is better than our M3 in some respect (even if we don't care about it): be it cheaper to maintain, better gas mileage, better interior storage, lighter... So I wouldn't be offended in the least if somebody tells me his car is better than my M3, but with that introduction, that'd be the beginning and the end of the conversation . By the way, I've NEVER heard anybody say that; that's the kind of thing you only find on boards like this (from non-owners) . Good day folks. |

You're behind the times there. He actually has said that the cocks have now started to buy Audis so it's now possible for real enthusiasts to buy M3s again.

I don't know if you guys saw the video of Clarkson comparing the e90 to the Lexus is f. In that video he says, you used to be a cock if you bought an m3, but now you're a cock if you don't

When it comes to people saying there car is the best in the ISF vs. C63 vs. M3 duel. I simply say "I bought this car because it fulfilled everything out of the 3 cars I wanted the best. Everyone has their own desires in a car and the M3 is the one that filled my desires of the 3 cars."
Try to continue a argument after that statement

I always believed that different cars appeal to different enthusiasts in different ways. If someone finds a car that is exactly what they are looking for in every way, then as far as their world is concerned, it is the best.
Sometimes people want to push the limits and find out just how amazing their car is when involved in the worlds of others. I believe that just because the car is the best in their world doesn't mean that it is the best in this world or anyone elses. Regardless of whether or not I agree, I always try to respect the person's choices and beliefs because in the end, we all live in the same world and we all enjoy cars for different reasons. Regardless of differences, we all enjoy cars, races, tracks, aftermarket modification, and talking with our fellow enthusiastic peers. Some just like to toot their horn a little more than others; in which case I simply don't acknowledge it Just my two cents. -Hunter |
