I run the same setup with a fays2 watts link on my gt and love it. Complete game changer really helps reduce the solid rear end hop.

The 2012 gt has 412hp and 2013 gt has 420. Boss has 444. That's 24hp. So I wouldn't expect a tons more. But from what I have seen online it tends to consistently trap a few mph faster.

But there are many differences in the engine (heads, pistons, crankshaft, intake manifold, compression) and rest of the car

Very nice car. I just wish the Boss 302 didn't have the in-famous dealer availability mark-up fee tied to it. It seems some are selling in the mid to high 50's.

If you hunt around online and ask around the Mustang Forums you'll find dealers will to play @ or slightly below MSRP.

stock for stock the boss 302 motor and the gt motor don't really have noticeable hp differences, however the boss motor is designed for racing duty, and is actually used in racing duty in the GTS class. It's also built to rev to 9k rpm and is known to put out 1000hp on the stock block with just a blower let's just say if this was an option that bmw offered to put in my m6, I would have clicked that option ohh yeah you could also go to the dealer and pick up the crate motor for under 10k w/o a core charge....

agreed. I was one of the first boss buyers(#225) and I happen to live in so cal, so price gouging was rampant. The dealer I went to go purchase from didn't take me seriously and wouldn't even unlock the door for me to look inside...In my infinite knowledge, I knew that the mazda dealership across the street was also owned by this ford dealer. I went across to the mazda fleet manager and told him my situation. After one call to the owner and 10 minutes of negotiating we settled on msrp. The entire Ford sales was there to witness me driving my new boss off of the showroom floor. Their faces were priceless...off topic but I noticed that when I walk into a ford, toyota, nissan dealer they never take me seriously, however bmw sales(all of the dealers I've been to) always greet me and offer their full attention And no I'm not a difficult customer. I usually buy on my first visit

I paid msrp. Certain colors go for less and some for more.

The boss motors wants to rev more or freer, but not a major difference. I drove them back to back. You feel the top end more as well.

But like you said the major differences are internal, heads, crankshaft, pistons etc

Congratz, you're gonna love it, (but I suspect you already know that). I bought my '12 302 about a week after I got back from deployment, (December 29th, so the dealer was ready to deal... end of year). My salesman flat told me "You probably know more about this car than I do".

It makes the guys I work with slightly nuts when I keep changing cars... one day its the M3, the next day it's the Boss.... and then every so often it's the blown convertible!

I own a Boss302

I have an E90 M3 and was walking into a Ford Dealership to check out their trucks.
Walked into the showroom floor and saw a white Boss 302 with Recaros and Torsen.
The salesman opened it and gave me the key to switch it on.
Then, he opened the door for me to take it out.
Well,
I own this car now since December.

I love the engine sound, I even opened up the side exhausts and programmed the red key.
Grip is phenomenal and the way it revs is just amazing.

I was thinking to sell it at one time, but guess it will be sharing the garage with the M3.

Recaros are amazing.

Glad you are a fan and enjoy it! It is a great car. A bargain performance car. Curious how u compare the M and 302 In regards to performance.
