RDSport Vs. H&R

I've found out RDSport springs are made by H&R, so the quality between the two should be the same. Anyone know the differences besides how the RDSport is .2 inches lower in the front?

I would assume that the rd sports have a slightly stiffer spring rate in order to accomodate the lower ride height. The H&R sport is as aggressive as I would go with use of the stock dampers.

I have the HRs and would NOT go lower. I'm scrapping all over the place when I don't slow down at bumps or take driveways at an angle ... keep in mind that there is an 'air diffuser' of some sort under the lip of the bumper that is a solid piece...not the flappy rubber types on other cars. I had not noticed this piece until I noticed the car srcapping at what I thought were clear heights.

I think I'll be going h&r. Cheaper and they are a suspension only company which makes me feel more confident. How do you like the h&r's beside the scraping

I just installed the H&R on my car two days ago and I love them, I also installed 10mm spacers on all four wheels the car feels so much better... do it and feel the difference.

Did you do both at the same time? Or seperately and both proved to be worthwhile mods?

+1 I like the RD springs they make it sit level. I had them for 1500 miles and never hit anything. My M3 with RD springs sits much higher then my Gallardo, I wouldnt be too worried about it being too low.

Can spacers theoretically damage or do harm to the car?

I like the way the car rides better than before. Prior to the install, I would keep the EDC at high mostl all the time because I thought the suspension was a bit soft.... my previous car also had HRs so I was used to the tighter suspension. Now with the HRs, at normal EDC it rides just right. At its highest setting on the 91 fwy, I sometimes have to turn it down because its too bouncy with the bumps on the fwy in certain areas where its not smooth. On smooth surfaces, the highest rating feels like the car rides on rails. On the note about the drop being of diff rates, 1" front and .6" rear, I thought it might change the stance more by making it look at an angle...but, it looks fine. I've come to realize that it is not that the car rides 'high' instead the aesthetics of the wheel wells is what I didn't like... the gap. There is a get together at the Irvine Spectrum this Sunday at 3pm I beleive. You should drive down at take a look.

... on spacers... I didn't install because because 1)I like the current looks of the 18's... they don't seem to stick in and 2)I would not be comfortable with changing the dynamics of the car even more than I've already done so with the drop and 3)I don't want to have less thread on the bolts for safety issues or have to buy new bolts, etc.

I think I might be at that meet this Sunday. Maybe I can check them out. I'm pretty sure I'll be going with H&R's though.

I don't see where the damage would occur, I'm using 10mm hub centric and extended lug bolts.

I have no plans to track my car I occasionally drive it to the canyons it drives like its on rails.

Mr Harris: Yes I did have the shop install the springs and sapcers at the same time. I like the mods
for looks and handling.
